Job Description

Our Client is looking for a Buyer to provide a purchasing function to ensure implementation and adherence to policies and procedures according to Supply Chain objectives and client needs. The ideal candidate needs to be able to work under pressure and be able to adapt to changing circumstances


• Create and maintain orders on AccPac for all stock items

• Processing orders, maintain high accuracy

• Communicate with customers on the status of purchases and obtain feedback

• Communicate with creditors, receiving and despatch to resolve queries and variances

• Assist with new supplier applications by sending appropriate document to supplier

• Ensure timeous deliveries of orders

• Evaluation of supplier performance

• Negotiate with suppliers for best cost to company

• Attend production meetings to screen services provided to end-user

Minimum Requirements:

• Matric

• Diploma in Logistics/Purchasing Management

• 3 years relevant purchasing experience

• Advanced computer literacy (MS Office package)

• Proven knowledge of purchasing practices and policies
