Job Description

Our Client is looking to employ suitable candidates within the Warehousing environment:

Minimum Requirements

• Matric

• 3 years' experience within a cargo handling environment.

• Must have knowledge and exposure to operational administration procedures

• Experience with Handling Hazardous Materials - Loading Vehicles

• Computer literacy - Entry Level

• Forklift License is essential

Job Specification

• Assist to coordinate the loading of trucks

• Ensure all despatch paperwork is complete and handed to Transporter (Delv Notes, COA's, TREM Cards, Invoices etc.)

• Ensure daily stock despatched is confirmed out of the WMS systems correctly

• Ensure all daily received Picking Slips are picked and Quality Checked ensuring 100% correctness of orders

• Expedite any emergency orders to the pickers to ensure the order is finalised within Specified time frames

• Inspect cargo for damages and report if necessary

• Despatch cargo using hand held scanners after ensuring the labels on stock correlate to the actual material

• Ensure that the daily exception report is checked to ensure all orders are dispatched as planned

• Rectify any mistakes and highlight these to the picker responsible as and when required

• Assist with securing cargo by strapping and shrink-wrapping where necessary

• Report any discrepancies and theft to the team leader/facility manager

• Safely operate reach truck and forklift as and when required

• Ensure that handling of all stock is done with reasonable care

• Assist with stock counts

• Ensure that all cargo is handled in terms of MSDS requirements prior to loading

• Ensure the receipt back of all POD's in order to file completed picks & despatches

• Ensure that all generated documents correlate to the picked load at all times

• Quality check all picked cargo for accuracy and correctness against system generated documents

• Ensure that hazardous loads are loaded in accordance to the compatibility charts

• Ensure transport and drivers agree on stock and documents handed over prior to loading materials

• Ensure that all outbound orders are packaged in a manner so that they will not be damaged in transit

• Liaise with internal clients about any order discrepancies which cannot be resolved / completed as planned

• Participate actively in the SHERQ programs that is implemented in the facility

• Ensure that the warehouse conforms to excellent house keeping
