Intermediate Web Application Developer

Job Description

Our client is looking an initiative Intermediate Web Application Developer to be based in Johannesburg.

Job description:

They utilises PHP Web Front ends for its line of business systems. The core back end system is Oracle based and is manipulated from the front end by accessing Oracle packages created by a team of specialist Oracle developers.

The nature of the development work is not typical PHP website development. It requires a developer with a broader skill set or at least the willingness to learn new skills.

The development team utilises Scrum to manage their work.

Minimum Requirements

Qualifications:

• A reputable IT qualification

Skills required:

• 3 years plus PHP experience

• 2 years plus JavaScript experience

• 1 years plus HTML and CSS experience

• Framework knowledge (PHP – Zend Framework (or another MVC based PHP Framework), JavaScript – JQuery (> v1.4)

Candidate with the following additional skills will be given preference:

• Oracle Experience

• Worked as a member of an Agile Team

• Willing to learn from other team members and value feedback

Other:

• Must have own transport
