Job Description

A very reputable Commercial Water Utility Company is seeking a Managing Director to lead their team in Lusaka, Zambia.

Minimum Requirements:


•Degree in Engineering, Management, Finance or any development field

(Masters’ Degree or equivalent preferred)

•10 - 15 years’ professional experience

•At least 5 years’ experience in a Senior Management position

•Experience in the water and sanitation sector (added advantage)

Personal Attributes;

•Visionary, with good communication skills

•Strong people management skills

•Ability to motivate and mentor

•Articulate, with a strong personality

•Strong business management skills


•Collaborating partners and other stakeholders involved with the planning and implementation of water and sanitation programmes and services

•Reporting on the performance of the Company with respect to approved targets, and formulate performance improvement strategies

•Actively lead the Company to achieve overall goals

•Develop annual budgets and financial reports and expenditure

•Develop a highly motivated and productive team

•Liaise with external support agencies and investors with respect to potential investments

•Work at high level with Government / Local Authorities
