Job Description

Leading Engineering Consultancy is looking for a dynamic leader to take responsibility of the management of their Bedfordview office, for the formulation and implementation of strategy in line with the group's strategy.

Formal Qualifications Requires:

BEng/BSc Civil

Professional Registration is an absolute must

Minimum Requirements:

A minimum of 6 - 12 years experience within a Consulting Environment, in a Managerial Role

Municipal Development and Design Experience

Project Management Experience

Experience in managing multi-disciplinary projects

Experience in management system applicable to the managing and reporting on large projects

Team and staff management and development

Sales and Marketing - Client Relationship Management experience

High Level of Advisory and Supervisory Expertise

Competencies and Special Requirements:

Business & Financial Acumen

Conflict management ability/competency

Systems thinking ability (Big picture thinking)

Ability to integrate processes.

Tendering and submissions of proposals to client in conjunction with UMs with the view to secure appointments for the group

Marketing of all related products and services in conjunction with the service leaders

Development of key client relationships in conjunction with Business Development

Efficient and effective management of the office

Execution of Office operations in the most productive and cost effective way in conjunction with UM

Resource allocation and coordination in the Office in terms of skill and staff to execute projects in conjunction with UM

Excellence in the quality of work in the unit

Compliance with the group policies and procedures

Networking and operational co–ordination of activities across multiple functions and Sectors

Maintenance of standards, assessment of risks and the evaluation of the viability and profitability of the Office’s initiatives in conjunction with UM

Team building, motivational skills, mentoring and training skills for staff

Leadership skills

Knowledge of legal compliance, risk assessment and contract obligations

Competitor knowledge
