Our client is a well-known and leading international mining group looking to employ a GCC Plant Engineer on an Open Cast Mine.
The Plant Engineer is responsible for meeting production targets with particular emphasis on availability of equipment and budget.
You will need to plan, revise, co-ordinate and implement Maintenance Schedules, as well as advise and direct maintenance staff in the organization and execution of maintenance schedules.
You will also be responsible for co-coordinating overall daily activities of all sections reporting to you to ensure economic and efficient, overhauls in progress, housekeeping etc. and investigate, and report, on unscheduled shut-downs, down-times or other interruptions to the production process.
You are expected to participate in the short, medium and long term planning with regard to plant/equipment, manpower, production and production personnel.
You are also responsible for co-ordinating and monitoring all preventive, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and repair work with relevant maintenance sections, for continued operation, co-ordinating and liaising with other operational and administrative functions including production planning, mine production, warehousing, procurement, transport, personnel, safety and training as well as local and overseas consultants and contractors.
The successful Plant Engineer will be based in Carltonville and will need to possess:
A minimum of 5 years experience; GCC Mines and Works;
Relevant Plant Mill experience with preference to: Gold/Platinum (any commodity with mill experience)
