Job Description

An international Logistics company based in Krugersdorp is looking to recruit two Processing Foreman as soon as possible.

Main purpose of job:

The candidate will be required to effectively control and manage processing procedures and staff ensuring that processing of raw material is converted to finished product effectively whilst ensuring that tonnage and quality targets are met within pre-defined cost parameters.

Minimum Requirements:

• Grade 12

• At least 2 years working experience as leader in processing and warehouse environment

• 2-3 years back ground in groundnut processing environment

• Knowledge of equipment and settings used for Cleaning, Grading and Roasting of Groundnuts

• Back ground of disciplinary procedures and initiating hearings

• Food Safety and ISO experience will be a distinct advantage

Job Description:

• Monitor and report contracted quantities of groundnuts to actual receipts/deliveries;

• Execution of Processing program for two processing plants in order to ensure that targets are achieved in accordance with desired quality standards;

• Manage and report on shift performance including the calculation of process losses / gain per shift;

• Ensure Efficiency of Equipment in order to achieve quality results within stipulated operational cost parameters;

• Warehouse management;

• Manage and report on packaging process and shift performance whilst calculating packing losses / gain per shift;

• Manpower Management and Performance measurements;

• Ensure Food Safety and OHS Act policies and procedures adhered to;

• Control and manage Receiving, Warehousing and Dispatch areas and staff;

• Ensure customer service standards are adhered to and improved where necessary;

• Manage Budget and Costing in accordance with budget guidelines

Additional skills and Qualities:

• Computer literacy in MS Office Suite

• Good Leadership Skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication

• Strong Quality Skills

• Analytical and Reporting skills

• Ability to work under pressure

• Ability to Manage and motivate staff or take disciplinary action if required

• Excellent team player

• High levels of energy

• Must be self-motivated and innovative

• Must be able to work under pressure
