Job Description
Looking for a Senior Ecologist based in Johannesburg.
Requirements:
*BSc post-graduate degree (MSc preferred)
• Subjects in Soil, Ecology and Botany would be advantageous
*5 years’ experience in Ecology
*Ability to use GIS and other niche software for recording, analysing and presenting data and reports
*Up-to-date knowledge of environmental legislation
*Good understanding of statistics, with the ability to present, analyse and record them
*Ability to understand and work with technology like Geographic Information Systems (GIS), aerial photography, records and maps to enhance and interpret data.
*Conduct and manage/oversee assessments as part of a project such as Fauna and Flora, Avifauna, Aquatics (SASS5), Wetland delineations and Biodiversity assessments
