Job Description

A large manufacturing concern in Ethiopia is looking to appoint a Water Resources Expert.

The successful candidate will have the following:

Engineering Graduate (Geology/hydrogeology, Chemistry, Food, mechanical)

At least 2-3 years of experience in hydrogeology, water quality or water treatment

In-depth knowledge of hygienic engineering practices,

Knowledge of hydrogeology and associated disciplines,

Knowledge of groundwater laws and regulations

Knowledge of water quality control and chemical composition/analysis,

MS-Office proficiency

Your main responsibilities will include:

Manage all aspects of water resources investigation process in coordination with the factory management and zone Water Resources team:

Water Resources investigation (e.g. hydrogelogical study, regulatory) and development (e.g. supplier selection, drilling activity, equipment selection in coordination with Zone Water Resources Manager)

Water resources testing and validation

Water resources operation, maintenance, and monitoring

Continiously implementing best practices in water resources monitoring and management in coordination with Zone WR managers and local management.

Develop a network within the Zone WR teams and with suppliers, local government institutes and organizations

Make proposals to the factory manager about related required investments and installations in water resources

Ensure that all water resources and water treatment processes are maintained and managed to provide consistent, compliant, and good quality product for bottling.

Manage the Back Line of the factory (DDC&D data & review, CIP planning and efficiency assessment)

Follow all related laws and regulations’ of government institutes in terms of water resources related issues.

Develop an accurate water planning overview to support production planning, in coordination with market management

Define and evaluate potential new development areas in terms of water resources when needed and preparing geological feasibility and assessment reports about related areas.
