BIM Manager – Mechanical

Job Description

A medium sized consulting company with offices in Cape Town, Durban and Johannesburg is looking for a BIM Manager – Mechanical.

Minimum requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years building services and consulting engineering experience.

• Experience in Revit, Navisworks and MS office are essential.

• Experience in Design builder and any other additional design software would be an advantage.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Responsible for managing and coordinating BIM standards development, implementation and enforcement on all related BIM projects, files, and models within our Mechanical Division.

• Leads and produces fully coordinated and detailed BIM MFP (Mechanical, Fire & Plumbing) projects in Revit from initial creation of models to output of drawings.

• Assumes BIM coordination responsibility between various disciplines within the company and manages and assists team members on multiple project teams.

• Ensure that the quality and accuracy of all drawing standards are maintained throughout the project lifecycle and in compliance with standards and agreements.

• Coaches, supervises, and mentors staff as required.

• Keeps abreast of the latest advancements in building technology and develops skills in the latest Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD and virtual reality packages.
