Job Description
A global engineering, management and development consultancy company is looking for a Senior Engineering Geologist to join their team in Lesotho.
The candidate will be required to fulfil the following duties (list not exhaustive):
Engineering Geology specialist for the site team, to be full-time in Lesotho (Katse Construction Site) during excavation of the Drill and blast and TBM waterway tunnels, shafts, gate shaft gallery, Lake tap and access audits and intake tunnels.
Oversee and conduct geological mapping, evaluation of excavation & rock conditions, and record keeping for the works
Review and prepare as-built geological drawings for tunnels, shafts, access audits, tunnel and access audit portals
Lead geology team on site
Oversee sub-surface investigation at Katse lake tap - barrage drilling and review sub-surface investigation reports and sampling, logging and geology data interpretation
Technical support to site team during excavation
Mentoring junior geologists
