Job Description
A large consulting company with offices across South Africa and internationally are looking to hire a Solar PV Lead.
Minimum requirements:
• BEng/BSc in Electrical Engineering
• Significant experience in the delivery of onshore projects, ideally within South Africa, and international experience on utility-scale projects.
• Must be professionally registered or close to registration.
• Minimum 7 years' experience in solar energy.
• Experience in managing and developing a team, client management, and consultancy.
• Some experience in business development and/or winning work.
• Solar PV modelling (PVsyst, Helioscope).
• Electrical infrastructure (DC, LV, and MV).
• Project Management (PMP preferred).
Your responsibilities will include:
• Energy yield and resources assessments
• Site layouts and optimization, concept design, and feasibility studies
• Technical due diligence for Merger and Acquisition (M&A) transactions
• Lender’s Technical Advisor (LTA) scopes of work
• Project development and Owner’s Engineer (OE) scope of work, including tendering and contracting support, construction monitoring, and management, and technical advisory.
